Press release

Borgholzhausen, October 22, 2021 –  B+S GmbH Logistik und Dienstleistungen will get a new shareholder on January 1, 2022 – subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. The Nagel-Group takes over the majority of the shares in the logistics service provider with headquarters in Borgholzhausen. For B+S, this takeover is a strong sign that it will continue on the growth path it has embarked on. Stefan Brinkmann, managing partner of B+S, will remain with the company as managing director in a responsible position.

Nagel-Group becomes the largest shareholder in B+S

The acquisition of B+S is part of a large-scale investment strategy for the Nagel-Group and serves to diversify its own business models. The Nagel-Group is Germany’s largest food logistics company. “We at B+S can extensively supplement the services of the Nagel-Group. With our extensive expertise in the areas of e-commerce and contract logistics as well as other fields of activity such as pharmaceutical logistics, ”explains Stefan Brinkmann, managing partner of B+S. In return, B+S receives extensive access to the Europe-wide network of Germany’s largest food logistics company.

Focus on the core business

To date, B+S is part of the heristo Group, with which the Westphalians laid the foundation for growth two years ago and came through the corona pandemic solidly. Heristo’s long-standing, trusting partnership and contractual relationship with the Nagel-Group form the basis for future-proofing the logistics business managed by B+S. “We understand that purchase transactions of this magnitude always raise questions. Especially among our own employees and among our stakeholders, ”explains Stefan Brinkmann. “That is why it is important for me to emphasize that the stability of the B+S brand, the growth course we have taken and the willingness to innovate in future-oriented logistics for our customers will not change.” B+S plans that with a strong partner behind them rather, to expand their own product portfolio. In addition, both companies see additional synergy effects, for example in the operational processes. “I am convinced that we can position B+S as part of the Nagel-Group for the future and develop it further in the interests of our customers and our employees. As managing partner of B+S, I will be largely responsible for this new path. I’m looking forward to the exciting tasks ahead, ”says Stefan Brinkmann.
