Review
Borgholzhausen, November 26, 2020 – The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are dropping. At B + S, however, everything continues to run at operating temperature. Also in October and November. You can read in retrospect here which topics are currently of particular concern to us.
We are making progress: our building in Borgholzhausen
We are approaching our goal in great strides. The sustainable and resource-efficient new building at our location in Borgholzhausen is growing. For example, the outside of the first unit is already finished, the gates and ramps are fully installed and the outside area to the ramps is concreted. We are particularly proud that the building services work in the hazardous material sections has been completed. We are also making progress as planned with the other units. The roofs are ready, the extinguishing water tank is ready and the car parking spaces are already waiting for the first guests and employees. The interior work will start soon so that our customers have space for their growth strategy as planned at the end of March 2021.
Well protected: our B + S masks
Corona continues to keep the world in suspense. The protection of our employees is equally important to us. That is why we not only adhere to our comprehensive hygiene measures. We have also designed our own B + S masks and brought them to the internal market. Not only do they look good, they also serve their purpose: to minimize the risk of infection. They are breathable and comfortable to wear so that our team is protected and can still perform at its best without restrictions. A filter can also be used. And of course they are also washable and therefore reusable. Because we don’t forget sustainability even during Corona.
Doing good not only in the run-up to Christmas: Sponsoring the Rynkeby team
The pre-Christmas period is reflective and, above all, the high season for donations. A short-term charity is out of the question for us. We want to do good in the long term and live up to our social responsibility as a company towards society. That is why we are again sponsoring the Team Rynkeby – high C initiative in 2021, which collects donations with their cycling project to help seriously ill children. You can find out more about our commitment to this project here.
For people: also in your own company
We show that people are important to us not only through sponsorship, but also in concrete terms in our company. Because people are and will remain at the heart of personnel-intensive logistics – even with increasing automation. Our HR manager Marcus Meyer is also convinced of this: “One thing will not change: The human being, i.e. our employees, are the linchpin of our work. Without them, logistics services are not possible.” In this interview, you can read about the development Marcus Meyer sees in terms of employees in logistics and how we are accompanying this development.
