Increase in the freight traffic center in Bremen
Borgholzhausen, November 7, 2019 – Half a year after the foundation stone was laid, B+S GmbH Logistik und Dienstleistungen starts up its new location in the Bremen freight transport center. The area of the modern logistics property extends over 30,000 square meters. By moving to the Hanseatic city, the logistics service provider has created 50 new jobs. A further 75 jobs are to be added in the future.
After the completion of the construction, everything went quickly: A third of the total area in the freight traffic center (GVZ) Bremen has already been occupied. There, B+S offers a well-known manufacturer of pet food not only space for storing its goods, but also for numerous services in the areas of contract logistics and the booming online trade. Thanks to steadily increasing sales, another 10,000 square meters of logistics space are already planned for the same customer. Another equally large area is available as capacity for future customers. In addition, the location offers 1,000 square meters of office and social rooms and thus space for up to 125 new jobs in Germany’s largest freight transport center.
“The location of the location has convinced us from the start: The GVZ in Bremen is located close to the city center and has a direct connection to the 281 motorway. The Neustadt port is also not far away,” explains Stefan Brinkmann, Managing Director of B+S . “From our new location in Bremen, we can quickly transport goods both by water and rail as well as by road.” Not only the location was able to score with the logistics service provider and its customer. The property itself also meets the highest quality standards, for example in terms of sustainability. In addition, like all other eleven locations in Germany, the new complex is certified according to the “International Featured Standard” and thus complies with the highest food, product and service standards.
