The campaign is intended to make the logistics sector known as an attractive employer among school leavers, students and career changers. The starting gun will fire on June 5, 2019. <\/b><\/p>\n The logistics service provider B+S is now one of the over 80 supporters of the \u201cDie Wirtschaftsmacher\u201d initiative, which is behind the campaign. The idea for this came from the \u201cImage of Logistics\u201d topic group of the Federal Logistics Association (BVL). Because although the importance of logistics for business and prosperity is undisputed among experts, the economic sector is struggling for a positive public perception. This is intended to change the nationwide \u201cLogistics Heroes\u201d campaign. It starts on June 5, 2019.<\/p>\n B+S managing director Stefan Brinkmann is convinced of the importance of such a campaign. \u201cThe general public hardly notices logistics. And if so, then rather negatively. It can’t be that way! Because logistics is a growth driver for our economy. And an area in which there are many exciting jobs. \u201dAfter all, logistics service providers reliably steer goods and goods of all kinds to destinations all over the world every day – from Internet orders to groceries to spare parts, medicines and relief supplies.<\/p>\n In a concerted campaign, \u201cDie Wirtschaftsmacher\u201d want to improve the public’s reputation of the third largest branch of the economy and especially among young professionals and job seekers. To this end, advocacy groups, logistics service providers as well as industry and trade combine their strengths and together create more visibility and reach than each of them individually. The campaign shows “logistics heroes” as friendly and credible ambassadors for the performance and professionalism of the industry. It is people from practice who tell exciting stories from their everyday work.<\/p>\n At B+S, ten prospective merchants for forwarding and logistics services are currently being given an insight into the fast-paced world of the 650-strong company from the Teutoburg Forest. According to Stefan Brinkmann, the number should quickly double. Warehousing logistics specialists at the headquarters in Borgholzhausen and at the locations in Hamburg, Bielefeld, Alzenau and Zettlitz are also available for ten additional training positions. B+S also offers future academics the opportunity to develop a feel for the economic sector: together with the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, the logistics service provider organizes trial days. Interested parties can then attend lectures at the university of applied sciences for two to three days. In cooperation with the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and the Herford Adult Education Center, B+S also offers prospective dual students subsidized preparatory courses.
